Former Oregon basketball player Brandon Austin, who was dismissed from the team in April after being linked to a March sexual assault, was denied admission to Hutchinson Community College, reports The Oregonian.

Austin was set to transfer to the Kansas college after being suspended from Oregon.

"He will not be playing here," school sports information director Steve Carpenter said. "We just decided not to. That's it."

Austin was a former four-star recruit who began his basketball career at Providence College but was suspended from the team last December after his name was linked to a sexual assault case. In January, Austin transferred to Oregon.

Austin, along with Oregon teammates Damyean Dotson and Dominic Artis, were dismissed from the Ducks' basketball team after being accused of committing sexual assault at a party.

Prosecutors declined to prosecute the players due to insufficient evidence, and the universitysuspended all three as students for at least four years.

Austin's lawyer told The Oregonian that the sexual assault allegations are a "lie" preventing the players from getting into other schools.
