Defensive back Chevoski Collins and running back Jalen Overstreet were dismissed from the Texas football team on Thursday for a violation of team rules, according to Taylor Gaspar of Orangebloods.com.

Who is Charlie Strong? An inside look at Texas' new coach

Earlier in the day, head coach Charlie Strong announced Kendall Sanders and Montrel Meander were suspended from the team after being charged with sexual assault.

This was not the first time Collins and Overstreet have violated the same rule, Gaspar reports. The players have the option to file an appeal with the university, which would take 10 days to process. The school declined to confirm or deny the report.

Overstreet ran for 102 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries last season as a backup running back, while Collins redshirted.
