Two LSU freshman football players were arrested last week and issued misdemeanor citations, The Advocate reports.

Trey Lealaimatafao, 17, was arrested when surveillance video showed him stealing a bicycle from outside of the school library. He was charged with misdemeanor theft. LSU police Capt. Cory Lalonde said he admitted taking the bicycle to police.

“He did admit to investigators (Thursday) that he did take the bike,” Lalonde said, adding that Lealaimatafao indicated he borrowed the bicycle and thought is was permissible to do so if the bicycle wasn’t secured.

Davon Godchaux, 19, admitted to throwing firecrackers into an apartment on July 21, an action that led to a small fire. He was charged with misdemeanor criminal mischief. Godchaux said he threw the firecrackers as part of a joke.

Both players have met with head coach Les Miles and will be disciplined internally, according to The Advocate.
