Former Indiana center Peter Jurkin announced on Twitter that he is transferring to East Tennessee State.

In a June release announcing Jurkin's transfer, Indiana said the big man was "seeking more playing time."

Jurkin appeared in just 11 games over two seasons with the Hoosiers while hampered by lower-body injuries.

The 7-foot, 230-pound center was forced to sit out his first nine games as a freshman as penalty for receiving impermissible benefits during his high school career. 

Jurkin will have two years of eligibility remaining. East Tennessee State, a member of the Atlantic Sun Conference, went 19-16 last season.
