Four-star guard Donovan Mitchell commits to Louisville
Four-star 2015 guard Donovan Mitchell committed to Louisville on Thursday night, Mitchell announced on Twitter.
Mitchell chose the Cardinals over Villanova, Florida State, Boston College and Providence, among offers from a number of other schools.
A native of Westchester, N.Y., who attends Brewster Academy in New Hampshire, Mitchell has been one of the most impressive prospects during summer AAU play. Currently rated the No. 101 player in the country by Rivals.com, he's expected to make a significant jump when new rankings are published.
Mitchell made his decision after visiting Louisville on Wednesday night.
"It was just something I've never seen before," Mitchell told Scout.com. "The facilities and the coaching staff and I think it's best thing for me.
"I just love the family atmosphere," he added. "Everyone loves each other and I think I can showcase my talents here."
Louisville also has 2015 commits from four-star wing Deng Adel and four-star forward Raymond Spalding.
