The Ole Miss Rebels finished last season in sixth place in the SEC West. The Rebels ended the year with an 8-5 (3-5) record.

Rebels quarterback Bo Wallace returning to lead the offense, and head coach Hugh Freeze said his passer has "gained about 15 pounds" since last season. Ole Miss also brings back receiver Laquon Treadwell, who led the team in catches (72) last year.
