Sophomore Danny Etling returns as the starting quarterback after passing for 1,690 yards, 10 touchdowns and seven interceptions in eight games last season. The team's leading returning receiver is sophomore DeAngelo Yancey, who had 546 receiving yards and two touchdowns as a freshman.
Darrell Hazell enters his second season as Purdue's head coach following two seasons at Kent State.
