Four-star Kenny Williams commits to VCU over North Carolina, Georgetown

Four-star 2015 shooting guard Kenny Williams has committed to Virginia Commonwealth and coach Shaka Smart over offers from North Carolina, Georgetown and Indiana.

Four-star 2015 shooting guard Kenny Williams has committed to Virginia Commonwealth over offers from North Carolina, Georgetown and Indiana

The 6-foot-2 Williams is from Chesterfield, Virginia and is ranked the No. 124 player in his class by Rivals.com. 

“It’s a perfect fit for me,” Williams told Scout.com about his decision to commit to VCU.“The fact that my family would be down the street was the deciding factor,” Williams added.

Williams averaged 21.3 points and 5.7 rebounds rebounds per game as a junior in high school and was named to the Virginia 5A All-State first team. During the EYBL season with his AAU team, he shot 43.7 percent from three. 

Williams is VCU coach Shaka Smart's first verbal commit from the class of 2015.
