The UCLA Bruins finished last season in second place in the Pac-12 South with a 10-3 overall record. UCLA went 6-3 in conference play, before capping off the season with a 42-12 win over Virginia Tech in the Hyundai Sun Bowl.

The Bruins lost star linebacker Anthony Barr to the NFL this offseason. Eric Kendricks, Myles Jack and freshman Kenny Young will be the team's starting linebackers, while Brett Hundley returns for another season as the starting quarterback.
