Dish Network customers won't be seeing college football games broadcast on Fox Sports 1 this opening college football weekend, according to multiple reports.

A Dish-run microsite devoted to the blackout issue lists four Week 1 FS1 games -- Rutgers at Washington State, Colorado State at Colorado, North Dakota State at Iowa State and SMU at Baylor -- as being unavailable for broadcast to Dish customers. The website said Fox agreed to pay "an inflated price for certain sports events on FOX Sports 1. Now, Fox is demanding [Dish Network] pay them a significant additional charge to carry these events. We are unwilling to pass these costs on to our customers."

Dish has spent August promoting the amount of college football its customers can view, Awful Announcing reports. Dish has deals with the new SEC Network, the Pac-12 Network and the Big Ten Network.

The dispute could specifically affect Dish Network subscribers looking to watch Pac-12 or Big 12 games, two conferences whose games FS1 often has programming rights for.
