Popeyes to sponsor the Bahamas Bowl

A new college football bowl game staged in the Bahamas will be sponsored by Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, the bowl announced on Tuesday.

“We are very excited to partner with Popeyes as our inaugural title sponsor,” said Lea Miller, Executive Director of the Popeyes Bahamas Bowl. “We appreciate the tremendous support of Popeyes for the Bahamas Bowl, and we look forward to a great event in the Bahamas.”

The inaugural Popeyes Bahamas Bowl will be played December 24, 2014.

The bowl, which will be the first played outside the U.S. or Canada since 1937, will pit teams from Conference USA and the Mid-American Conference.
