USC cornerback Josh Shaw is being investigated by Los Angeles police in relation to a possible domestic violence incident last weekend, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Police went to a third-floor apartment in an Orsini apartment building in L.A. on Saturday night after receiving a report of a woman screaming. Witnesses told police they saw a man with dreadlocks climbing from the third-floor balcony of the apartment. The woman who resides in the apartment later said the witnesses' description fit that of Shaw, her boyfriend.

Police declined to reveal the statement given by Shaw's girlfriend but said she “did not indicate she was a victim” of domestic violence.

Shaw is indefinitely suspended from USC football after admitting he lied to the school about injuring his ankles saving his drowning nephew.

His attorney has since said Shaw was injured when he fell off a balcony at the Orsini on Saturday.

According to Capt. John McMahon, Shaw has refused to be interviewed about the case, while Shaw's attorney says the Trojan has already spoken to the LAPD twice.
