Notre Dame Stadium work to start in November

Notre Dame will start construction a $400 million project that will expand the football stadium by more than 3,000 seats.

Notre Dame will start construction on a $400 million project that will expand its football stadium and add three academic buildings, reports the South Bend Tribune.

According to the report, the project, named Campus Crossroads, will have premium seating for fans, outdoor terraces and media space on the top floors of both the east and west buildings.

Construction will begin days after the final home football game Nov. 22 against Louisville. The project is expected to be completed in the summer of 2017.

Notre Dame Stadium seats more than 80,000 and the project plans on adding 3,000 seats.
