Texas A&M's offensive coordinator praised new quarterback Kenny Hill after a record-breaking performance from Johnny Manziel's replacement in the Aggies' opening game, saying the sophomore quarterback has "zero nerves."

Hill set school records with 44 completions for 511 yards and three touchdowns in 52-28 rout of South Carolina last Thursday.

Jake Spavital, A&M's offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, said he made sure to give the South Carolina defense different looks, and that Hill made all the correct calls.

"Kenny was awesome. That kid has zero nerves in him," Spavital said to Fox Sports. "It was kinda creepy (to see how cool he was through it all)."

Texas A&M faces Lamar on Saturday in its 2014 Kyle Field debut.
