Northwestern wide receiver Tony Jones is expected to miss the team’s next two games because of a muscular issue in one of his legs, reports the Chicago Tribune’s Teddy Greenstein.
Jones, a senior, caught a team-high seven passes for 64 yards in Northwestern’s 31-24 loss to California last Saturday.

Northwestern plays Northern Illinois this Saturday and then has a bye week. Western Illinois comes to town on Sept. 20, and the team hopes to have Jones available for the team’s Big Ten opener against Penn State the next week.
Last season, Jones caught 55 passes for 630 yards and four touchdowns.
