Ohio State enters Week 3 with a 1-1 record following a 35-21 loss to Virginia Tech. J.T. Barrett, starting at quarterback in place of the injured Braxton Miller, completed nine of 29 passes for 219 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions. Kent State lost last week to South Alabama to fall to 0-2 on the season. Quarterback Colin Reardon went 17 of 40 for 213 yards, two touchdowns and one interception against South Alabama.
