Texas QB David Ash out indefinitely due to concussion symptoms

Texas quarterback David Ash is out indefinitely after suffering a concussion in the team’s season opener, Texas head coach Charlie Strong announced.
Ash was 19-of-34 for 190 yards and a touchdown and ran for another touchdown in the Longhorns' 38-7 victory over North Texas, but he did not experience any concussion symptoms until the next day.
Ash, who played only three games last season due to a concussion, did not play in Texas' 41-7 loss to BYU last Saturday.
STAPLES: After another head injury, Ash must be tough enough to walk away
Backup Tyrone Swoopes started for Texas against BYU and went 20-31 for 176 yards with one touchdown and an interception. The Longhorns play top 15-ranked opponents UCLA, Baylor and Oklahoma within the next month.
