Toledo starting quarterback Phillip Ely will miss the remainder of the season after tearing his right ACL, Toledo coach Matt Campbell announced Monday.

Ely, an Alabama transfer, was injured in the third quarter of Toledo's 49-24 loss to Missouri on Saturday.

The redshirt junior completed 60.3 percent of his passes for 541 yards, four touchdowns and one interception this season before his injury.
