Game Facts

Michigan State facts

The loss to Oregon two weeks ago snapped an 11-game winning streak, which was tied for fourth-longest streak in program history.

Against the Ducks, quarterback Connor Cook recorded career highs in passing yards (343), completions (29) and pass attempts (47).

Wide receiver Tony Lippett also had a career-best day, hauling in a 11 catches for 133 yards. The 11 receptions are tied for seventh-most in a game in program history.

Marcus Rush tied his career high with 11 tackles and 2.5 for loss. He also recorded an 11-yard sack of Marcus Mariota

The 46 points that Michigan State allowed to Oregon were the most they gave up since yielding 49 to Alabama in the 2011 Capital One Bowl.

Oregon's Marcus Mariota became the first quarterback to throw for more than 300 yards against the Spartans since Dayne Crist of Notre Dame did it back in 2010.

With that loss to Oregon, Michigan State now ranks 78th in scoring defense, yielding 26.5 points per game.

Offensively, the Spartans rank 11th in the FBS in passing, averaging 348.5 yards per game.

Coach Mark Dantonio is 26-11 against non-conference opponents, including a 20-2 record (.909) in Spartan Stadium.

Despite not playing last week, Michigan State rose two spots in both the AP and Coaches' polls and is currently ranked No. 11.
