Capital One is now the title sponsor of the Orange Bowl, one of the six bowl games involved in the College Football Playoff, the Orange Bowl committee and Capital One announced Monday.

Capital One replaces Discover as the game's main sponsor after ending a 14-year relationship with the former Citrus Bowl in Orlando.

The Citrus Bowl, called the Capital One Bowl for the last 14 years, will be renamed the Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl. It will be played Jan. 1, and it will feature teams from the Southeastern and Big Ten Conference. The former Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl that was played in Tempe, Ariz. will be named the Cactus Bowl this season, with Pac-12 and Big 12 teams competing.

“As the landscape of post-season collegiate football evolves, the Orange Bowl looks forward to this new partnership with Capital One and continuing its long-standing relationship with ESPN,” Orange Bowl president Luis Boué said

This season’s Orange Bowl will take place Dec. 31. The game will host a playoff semifinal during the 2015 season and once every three years thereafter.

Tostitos ended its partnership with the Fiesta Bowl earlier this year, and the Rose Bowl also has a new sponsor in Northwestern Mutual.
