Two struggling teams will meet on Friday night when the New Mexico Lobos (1-2) host the Fresno State Bulldogs (1-3). Both teams got their first wins of the season last week. New Mexico defeated New Mexico State 38-35, while Fresno State beat Southern Utah 56-16.

Week 4: New Mexico 38, New Mexico State 35
Lamar Jordan found Reece White for a five-yard touchdown with just 27 seconds remaining to give New Mexico its first win of the season. Four different Lobos players attempted and completed a pass. Senior running back Crusoe Gongbay had his best performance of the year with 139 rushing yards and a touchdown.
Week 2: Arizona State 58, New Mexico 23
The Lobos had three turnovers for the second straight week. New Mexico's rushing attack was once again its strength as Teriyon Gipson rushed for 73 yards, Jhurell Pressley rushed for 53 and Lamar Jordan tallied 32. All three running backs received at least 12 carries.
Week 1: UTEP 31, New Mexico 24
Time of possession and total offense were nearly even, but the Lobos committed three turnovers. New Mexico's quarterbacks combined for just 67 yards and an interception. The Lobos' top offensive performer was quarterback Cole Gautsche, who rushed for 184 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries.
Fresno State
Week 4: Fresno State 56, Southern Utah 16
Martez Waller rebounded from a disappointing Week 3 performance to lead the Fresno State offense with 117 rushing yards and a touchdown. Four different wide receivers hauled in a touchdown catch, while Da'Mari Scott led the way with 102 receiving yards.
Week 3: Nebraska 55, Fresno State 19
Quarterback Brian Burrell was the top performer for the Bulldogs with 241 passing yards and one touchdown. Burrell also added a 66-yard touchdown run in the third quarter to get Fresno State on the board. It was the first time this season that the Bulldogs did not commit a turnover.
Week 2: Utah 59, Fresno State 27
Fresno State was outgained on the ground 258-55. Greg Watson hauled in touchdowns on two of his three catches in the game, while Josh Harper caught six passes for a team-leading 83 yards.
Week 1: USC 52, Fresno State 13
Fresno State managed just 317 yards of total offense and allowed 701 yards to the Trojans. Junior running back Marteze Waller, who rushed for 97 yards, scored the only two touchdowns of the game for the Bulldogs. Between quarterbacks Brian Burrell and Brandon Connette, Fresno State threw four interceptions.
