Callier was injured on the opening kickoff in the Huskies' 45-14 win. He missed the 2012 season after tearing his ACL in the first game of the year.
“That’s a hard one to take, just a guy that’s a senior and some of the things that he’s been through,” Petersen said. “He’s doing such a great job for us. So that’s hard.”
Callier had 19 carries for 91 yards and a touchdown this season and has 191 carries for 997 yards and five touchdowns over his career.
Because he's a fifth-year senior, the injury effectively ends Callier's college career. But the running back apparently doesn't see his football days ending with his Achilles tear.
