Duke's football team will soon be seeing major renovations to Wallace Wade Stadium.

The school announced Wednesday on its website that the Board of Trustees at the University approved design plans to the stadium and has given the green light for three improvement projects to the site.

Among the new additions to the stadium will be a tower with luxury suites and premium seating options, as well as a new video board in the south end zone. Concourse improvements will also be made; the track will be removed and the playing surface will be lowered. In place of the track, rows of seats will be added to bring fans closer to the field.

The construction will begin at the end of this football season and is scheduled to be completed for the 2016 season.
