Class of 2014 five-star recruit Bo Scarbrough has been academically cleared to enroll at Alabama for the spring semester, reports BamaOnline.

Scarbrough committed to Alabama in September 2012 and signed his letter of intent in February. But he was one of two 2014 commits for the Crimson Tide who did not enroll for the fall semester.

Rivals.com had him listed as the No. 16 player in his class and No. 2 running back.

At the beginning of fall practice, Tide coach Nick Saban had said the school's goal was to get Scarbrough there in January and that he was close to qualifying.

Scarbrough is from Tuscaloosa, Ala., but played his senior year of high school at IMG Academy in Florida.

Listed at 6-foot-2, 234 pounds, Scarbrough chose the Tide over offers from Auburn, Georgia, Clemson, Florida, Notre Dame and others.

Alabama's 2014 class was ranked No. 1 in the country by Rivals.com, and its 2015 class is currently ranked first as well.
