Four-star CB Jordan Whitehead commits to Pittsburgh

Four-star 2015 cornerback Jordan Whitehead verbally committed to Pittsburgh on Friday, according to The Patriot-News

Whitehead is ranked as a Top-250 player by Rivals.com, as well as the No. 30 cornerback in his class and No. 6 player from Pennsylvania. 

He chose the Panthers over a top four that included Penn State, Ohio State and West Virginia. He also held offers from Alabama, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Georgia and a host of other schools.

Whitehead is listed as 5-foot-10 and 165 pounds and hails from Monaca, Pennsylvania. He visited all of the schools in his top four, including a trip to Pittsburgh on Aug. 29. 

Whitehead becomes Pittsburgh's 15th commitment from the Class of 2015, and just the second four-star. Before his commitment, the Panthers recruiting class was ranked No. 45 in the nation.

Pittsburgh is 3-2 this season, with wins over Delaware, Boston College and FIU. They play at Virginia on Saturday.
