Saturday is Military Appreciation Day at Kenan Stadium in Chapel Hill, and North Carolina is continuing its tradition of wearing a special helmet design to honor the day.

The field at Kenan Stadium has also been painted in honor of Military Appreciation Day. The end zone and midfield logo, which are usually Carolina blue, are painted red, white and blue to resemble the American flag.

The Tar Heels have worn a different helmet design the last two years for Military Appreciation Day.
UNC is 2-2 on the season and is looking to get its first ACC win. Last weekend, the Tar Heels lost to Clemson, 50-35.
Virginia Tech is 3-2, including a win over Ohio State.
