Harvard beats Cornell 24-7

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) Scott Hosch threw for 240 yards and a touchdown as Harvard beat winless Cornell 24-7 on Saturday.

Hosch finished with 19-of-34 passing for the Crimson (4-0, 2-0 Ivy League) and was intercepted twice. Andrew Casten ran for 69 yards and a touchdown and Paul Stanton Jr. ran for 56 yards and another score.

Hosch threw a 24-yard scoring strike to Anthony Firkser early in the third quarter to put Harvard out front 7-0 after a scoreless first half. Andrew Flesher added a field goal to end the period. Early in the fourth, Stanton took it in from 4 yards, giving the Crimson a 17-0 lead. Casten's 3-yard TD score came with just 35 seconds left.

Jake Jatis got Cornell on the board late in the fourth on a 26-yard touchdown pass to Collin Shaw. Jatis was 14 of 22 for 140 yards for the Big Red (0-4, 0-2).
