VALPARAISO, Ind. (AP) Ben Lehman threw for two touchdowns and Brandon Hall ran for two more in leading Valparaiso to a 55-7 victory over football newcomer Missouri Baptist on Saturday.

Hall rushed for both of his touchdowns in the first quarter before JP Lowery ran for the Spartans' only touchdown after an interception return by Nathaniel Wurmb set up Missouri Baptist at the Valparaiso 2. But Lehman followed with his two touchdown passes and, after field goal, the Crusaders (2-4) led 31-7 at halftime.

Lehman completed 16 of 22 passes and the Crusaders were 20 of 26 overall for 239 yards. Another 281 yards came on the ground with Hall picking up 122 on 10 carries.

Valparaiso held Missouri Baptist (0-7), an NAIA team in its first football season, to 122 yards offense and also had a blocked punt and 20-yard return for a score by Jarrett Morgan.
