Coastal Carolina beats Charleston Southern 43-22

CONWAY, S.C. (AP) Alex Ross threw touchdown passes of 74 and 51 yards to John Israel, De'Angelo Henderson ran for three touchdowns, and Coastal Carolina remained undefeated with a 43-22 win over Charleston Southern on Saturday.

Ross was 12 of 17 for 276 yards and three touchdowns, and Israel had three catches for 174 yards for the Chanticleers (8-0, 2-0 Big South). Ross also ran for 55 yards on nine carries.

Henderson had 110 yards rushing on 12 carries. His third touchdown run capped a 22-point second-half run for a 43-15 CCU lead early in the fourth quarter.

After missing his first two extra-point attempts, David Kennedy kicked a 25-yard field goal as time expired in the first half to bring Charleston Southern (5-3, 0-2) within 21-15.

Mike Holloway ran four times for 80 yards and a touchdown for the Buccaneers.
