ELLIS: How will Tennessee fans react to Lane Kiffin's return to Knoxville?

Kiffin coached the Trojans for three-plus seasons before being fired in September 2013.

The Crimson Tide hired Kiffin in January to replace Doug Nussmeier, who left for Michigan. Alabama currently ranks first in the SEC in yards per play (6.93).

In his one season at Tennessee, Kiffin led the Volunteers to a 7-6 record and an appearance in the Chick-fil-A Bowl.
