Central Michigan trounces Eastern Michigan 38-7

YPSILANTI, Mich. (AP) Saylor Lavallii ran for two touchdowns, Devon Spalding ran for two more and Central Michigan trounced Eastern Michigan 38-7 on Saturday.

Lavallii scored on the Chippewas' third play, running untouched for a 41-yard touchdown. He later added a 1-yard TD run to give Central Michigan an early 14-0 lead. Lavallii finished with 105 yards on 24 carries.

Spalding ran for a 42-yard touchdown to open the second quarter, running up the left sideline and diving in for the score. He ran for a 6-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter and finished with 154 yards on 18 carries.

Cooper Rush was 18 of 23 for 223 yards passing with one touchdown for Central Michigan (6-4, 4-2 Mid-American Conference).

Rob Bolden threw a 4-yard touchdown pass to Darius Jackson with 3:16 remaining to avoid the shutout for Eastern Michigan (2-7, 1-4).
