WHAT'S AT STAKE

Baylor and is trying to stay within reach of leader Kansas State in the conference race and in the mix for a spot in the playoff. A second straight win over the Sooners would be another key step to the Bears establishing themselves as a Big 12 power. Oklahoma entered the season with national championship aspirations, but lost to TCU and Kansas State by a combined five points. A third loss would be tough for the fan base, given the high preseason expectations.

KEY MATCHUP

Oklahoma defense against Baylor run game. Baylor is known for its passing game, but the Bears lead the Big 12 in rushing. Conference rushing leader Shock Linwood sets up the Bears' play-action passing game.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Baylor: QB Bryce Petty. He averages 290.6 yards passing per game and spreads the ball around to multiple targets, including Corey Coleman, KD Cannon, Antwan Goodley and Jay Lee. Oklahoma's defense will need to be disciplined.

Oklahoma: WR Sterling Shepard. He went down with a groin injury on Oklahoma's first offensive play last Saturday against Iowa State and didn't return, but coaches say they expect him to play. He leads the Big 12 in yards receiving per game and ranks third nationally.
