Five-star safety Rashad Roundtree has committed to play at Georgia next season.

Roundtree, listed at 6-foot-1 and 190 pounds, plays high school football at Lakeside High School in Evans, Ga. He chose the Bulldogs over Ohio State, Alabama, Auburn and Clemson. Roundtree visited Ohio State last weekend during the Buckeyes' 55-14 win over Illinois.

“So with much prayer and discussion with my family, I have decided to verbally commit to play college football at the University of Georgia,” Roundtree wrote on Twitter.

Roundtree is rated the No. 24 overall and the second-best safety prospect by Rivals. Georgia now has 24 (including three five-star and nine four-star) total recruits for the 2015 class, which ranks behind Alabama, Clemson and Florida State

“Of course, with UGA, it’s the in-state school and has a good tradition. I visited with him there a couple of times, and he liked the atmosphere," Roundtree’s father, Richard, told TheAtlanta Journal Constitution.
