TCU coach Gary Patterson reportedly said running back B.J. Catalon won't play in Saturday's game against Kansas State, according to a tweet from Jeremy Clark of HornedFrogBlitz.com.

Catalon, who was reportedly hit in the torso during last week's win over West Virginia and did not participate in practice this week, leads the Horned Frogs with 493 rushing yards and 10 rushing touchdowns on 98 carries this season.

With Catalon out, junior Aaron Green, who has rushed for 378 yards and three touchdowns this season, could see an increased workload.

The Horned Frogs rank second in the Big 12 in rushing offense with 5.46 yards per carry, while the Wildcats rank second in the conference in rushing defense at 3.14 yards per carry allowed.

TCU (7-1, 4-1 Big 12) and Kansas State (7-1, 5-0 Big 12) rank sixth and seventh, respectively, in the latest College Football Playoff rankings.
