Louisville wide receiver James Quick has been suspended for violating team rules, the team announced on Saturday.

Quick leads the Cardinals with 31 receptions for 451 yards and three touchdowns this season, but his production has tailed off since senior DeVante Parker returned to action for the Cardinals' Oct. 18 win over N.C. State after battling a foot injury.

Quick was cited in May for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The citation was later dismissed.

Louisville (6-3, 4-3 ACC) plays at Boston College on Saturday.
