Alabama running back T.J. Yeldon has minor ankle sprain

Alabama Crimson Tide running back T.J. Yeldon will be limited in practice this week due to a minor ankle sprain, head coach Nick Saban told reporters on Monday

Yeldon injured the ankle during the fourth quarter of Alabama's win over LSU on Saturday.

The junior has also been limited the last two weeks due to a foot injury. Saban said Yeldon would be a "little slow" at the start of this week, but that he is not in danger of missing Alabama's game against No. 1 Mississippi State on Saturday. 

The Tide are coming off of a 20-13 overtime victory over the LSU Tigers, in which Alabama rallied in the final seconds of regulation to tie the game. 

Yeldon had 68 yards on 15 carries for Alabama against LSU. This season, he has 686 yards and five touchdowns along with 12 catches for 151 yards and a touchdown.

Sophomore running back Derrick Henry has also shouldered much of the load this season. Henry has 111 carries for 554 yards and four touchdowns.  

Yeldon injured his ankle duing the fourth quarter of the victory over LSU and is currently listed as questionable. In the game, he had 68 yards on 15 carries. He has 686 yards and five touchdowns to go with 12 receptions for 151 yards and a touchdown on the season. Sophomore running back Derrick Henry has 111 carries for 554 yards and four touchdowns on the season.

The Crimson Tide host Mississippi State on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET.
