Oklahoma Sooners vs. Texas Tech Red Raiders

Oklahoma tries to rebound from an embarrassing home defeat when it plays at Texas Tech on Saturday. The Sooners fell to Baylor 48-14 last week, the first home loss to the Bears in Oklahoma football history. The Red Raiders had a bye last week but were beaten 34-13 by Texas the week before.

11/8: Baylor 48, Oklahoma 14

Quarterback Trevor Knight was carted off the field after he was sacked early in the fourth quarter. The Sooners lost by 30-plus points for just the fourth time under head coach Bob Stoops. Running back Keith Ford returned to play for the first time since Sept. 13 and had eight carries for 40 yards.

11/1: Oklahoma 59, Iowa State 14

Three Sooners ran for more than 100 yards as Oklahoma rushed for 510 yards and five touchdowns against the Cyclones. Trevor Knight threw for 230 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions, while also running for 146 yards and three touchdowns. Alex Ross rushed for 144 yards, and Samaje Perine added 110 yards and a touchdown.

10/18: Kansas State 31, Oklahoma 30

A blocked PAT was the difference as the Sooners lost their second game of the season. Trevor Knight threw a touchdown pass to Durron Neal in the fourth quarter, but the PAT was blocked and the Sooners lost by 1. Knight completed 26 of 32 passes for 318 yards, three touchdowns and one interception in the loss. Sterling Shepard had 15 catches for 197 yards and touchdown.

10/11: Oklahoma 31, Texas 26

The Sooners, after falling in the Red River Rivalry last year against the Longhorns, came out victorious this year. Trevor Knight threw for 129 yards and a touchdown. However, the Sooners defense allowed 482 yards to this Texas offense and nearly squandered a lead that at one point was 31-13. 

10/04: TCU 37, Oklahoma 33

Oklahoma quarterback Trevor Knight threw two interceptions in the fourth quarter, and TCU hung on to win. Knight's second interception was returned 41 yards for a touchdown, giving the Horned Frogs a 37-31 lead. Oklahoma blocked the ensuing PAT attempt and returned it for a safety. Oklahoma's defense allowed 469 yards.

9/20: Oklahoma 45, West Virginia 33

The Sooners took the lead with 12:22 remaining in the third quarter when Samaje Perine scored on a 9-yard run to break a 24-24 tie. Oklahoma ran for 301 yards; the Sooners have won 36 straight games in which they've rushed for at least 200 yards. Alex Ross' 100-yard kick return for a touchdown gave the Sooners two 100-yard plays in the same season for the first time in program history.

9/13: Oklahoma 34, Tennessee 10

Oklahoma had five sacks in the game after posting four in the first two games. For the first time since 2009, the Sooners held their first three opponents to 17 points or less.

9/6: Oklahoma 52, Tulsa 7

The Sooners' 52 points were their most since scoring 63 against Texas in 2012. Oklahoma improved to 20-1 in its last 21 games against unranked opponents. The Sooners are 13-3 in road openers under coach Bob Stoops.

8/30: Oklahoma 48, Louisiana Tech 16

The Sooners are now 49-9-5 all-time in home openers. Oklahoma scored 21 points in the first quarter, the first time it has scored that many in an opening period since 2010 at Baylor. Running backs Keith Ford and Alex Ross each ran for two touchdowns, the first time the Sooners have had two runners score at least two touchdowns since 2012 against Florida A&M.

11/1: Texas 34, Texas Tech 13

The Red Raiders fell to Texas for the sixth straight time. Freshman quarterback Patrick Mahomes made his first career start and completed 13 of 21 passes for 109 yards before exiting due to an injury. Fellow quarterback Vincent Testaverde Jr. replaced him and went 15-for-26 for 116 yards and an interception. Linebacker Pete Robertson became the first Texas Tech player to record a sack in six consecutive games in more than 16 years.

10/25: TCU 82, Texas Tech 27

The 82 points were the most Texas Tech has allowed in school history, breaking the old mark of 66 points. The Red Raiders scored a touchdown on their first offensive possession for just the second time this season. Texas Tech recorded 21 first downs, extending its streak of recording at least 20 first downs to 18 consecutive games, the longest active streak in FBS.

10/18: Texas Tech 34, Kansas 21

Texas Tech won its first game since early September by knocking off Kansas. Quarterback Davis Webb completed 28 of 44 passes for 288 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. Running back DeAndre Washington led the Red Raiders with 23 carries for 164 yards. 

10/11: West Virginia 37, Texas Tech 34

Texas Tech fell to 0-3 in Big 12 play with a 37-34 loss to West Virginia. The Mountaineers won on Josh Lambert's 55-yard field goal as time expired. Davis Webb threw for 348 yards and three touchdowns, running back DeAndre Washington had 132 rushing yards and receiver Devin Lauderdale had three catches for 112 yards and two touchdowns.

10/4:Kansas State 45, Texas Tech 13

The Red Raiders have lost four straight to the Wildcats dating back to 2011. Texas Tech lost the turnover battle for the 13th straight game, during which the team is 5-8. The Red Raiders had a season-high three sacks, all in the first quarter.

9/25:Oklahoma State 45, Texas Tech 35

The Red Raiders have lost six straight to the Cowboys dating to 2009. Quarterback Davis Webb has thrown a touchdown pass in the first 14 games of his career, a school record. Texas Tech scored on its opening possession for the first time this season.

9/13:Arkansas 49, Texas Tech 28

It was the first meeting between the former Southwest Conference rivals since 1991. The loss snapped a 16-game regular-season winning streak against non-conference opponents. Texas Tech forced its first turnover of the season on a fumbled punt that was recovered by Sam Eguavoen.

9/6: Texas Tech 30, UTEP 26

The Red Raiders took the lead for good with 2:32 remaining on a nine-yard pass from Davis Webb to Brad Marquez. Justin Stockton ran for 135 yards on eight carries to become the first Texas Tech freshman with 100 yards in a game since Taurean Henderson against NC State in 2002. The Red Raiders have two plays of more than 70 yards this season after not having one from 2011-13.

8/30: Texas Tech 42, Central Arkansas 35

The Red Raiders won their opener for the 12th straight year. Texas Tech has now won 22 straight home openers. Running back DeAndreWashington ran for a career-high 104 yards on 20 carries.
