Lafayette takes down Robert Morris, 77-50

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (AP) Dan Trist scored 21 points, grabbed seven rebounds, and Lafayette beat Robert Morris 77-50 Friday in a season opener for both teams.

Trist finished 9 of 13 from the field for Lafayette. Nick Lindner added 18 points, six boards, and three assists for Lafayette, who finishing at 51 percent from the field.

Marcquise Reed came off the bench to score 10 points to lead Robert Morris. Lucky Jones added 10 points and five rebounds, but finished just 2 of 14 from the field. The Colonials as a team shot only 25 percent from the field.

The Leopards outscored Robert Morris by 20 in the opening half, and were never really threatened for the remainder of the evening.
