Tulsa tops Louisiana-Lafayette 64-53

TULSA, Okla. (AP) Marquel Curtis and Rashad Ray each scored 16 points and Tulsa beat Louisiana Lafayette 64-53 on Monday night.

D'Andre Wright added 14 points, on 6-of-10 shooting, for Tulsa (2-1).

Tulsa has held 32 straight opponents to less than 50 percent shooting from the floor.

Louisiana Lafayette held Tulsa's James Woodard to four points, ending his 28-game streak of scoring in double figures.

Shawn Long led Louisiana Lafayette (1-2) with 15 points and grabbed four rebounds to bring his career total boards to 700, but the Ragin Cajuns were outrebounded 37-31. Brian Williams scored nine points.

Tulsa led 32-21 at halftime and forced the Ragin Cajuns to commit 25 turnovers for the game.
