Price leads La Salle over Quinnipiac 60-58

HAMDEN, Conn. (AP) Jordan Price scored the last eight points for La Salle, including a pair of game-winning free throws with 3 seconds remaining to beat Quinnipiac 60-58 on Tuesday night.

Zaid Hearst scored a layup with 54 seconds left to pull Quinnipiac within two, 58-56, with 54 seconds left. He was later fouled on a 3-point attempt, and made the first two of three free throw attempts to tie it at 58 with 12 seconds to play.

James Ford Jr. fouled Price to set up the game-winning free throws. Quinnipiac (1-1) couldn't get a shot off before time expired.

Price finished with 18 points on 6-of-17 shooting, and was 5 of 10 from the line. Steve Zack grabbed 11 boards for the Explorers (2-0).

Hearst scored 18 points and Ousmane Drame had 10 points and 11 rebounds for Quinnipiac, who shot just 18 of 63 from the field for nearly 29 percent.
