WACO, Texas (AP) Rico Gathers had 12 points and 13 rebounds for his first double-double of the season and Baylor remained perfect against Prairie View with a 60-45 victory Friday night.

Taurean Prince had a game-high 15 points on 6-of-7 shooting in 22 minutes and Royce O'Neale had 10 rebounds for the Bears, who are 3-0 for the eighth season in a row under coach Scott Drew.

John Brisco and Karim York each had 13 points for the Panthers (0-4).

Prairie View had an 11-10 lead before Prince's jumper with 13:05 left in the first half sparked a 14-3 run and put Baylor ahead to stay. The Panthers made only 2-of-10 shots the rest of the half, trailed 37-22 at the break and never got closer than 13 points after that.

The Bears are 13-0 in the series against Prairie View, all at home, though this game wasn't as lopsided as many in the past. The Bears had won the previous 12 by an average margin of 31 points, including 90-54 when they last played three years ago.

Gathers bounced back from a rough game Tuesday, when he was scoreless with one rebound and four fouls in the Bears' 69-65 victory at South Carolina.

Baylor shot 47 percent from the field (21 of 44), but had 18 turnovers, four more than the Panthers. Prairie View shot only 35 percent, including 5-of-21 on 3-pointers.

This game was part of the Las Vegas Invitational tournament, and both teams have one more campus-site game Monday night before going to Las Vegas for Thanksgiving.
