Eastern Michigan coasts past Longwood 79-48

YPSILANTI, Mich. (AP) Anali Okoloji and Raven Lee each scored 14 points and Eastern Michigan raced past Longwood 79-48 on Sunday in its home tournament, the EMU Showcase.

Eastern Michigan moved to 5-0, shooting 51.9 percent from the field and hitting nine 3-pointers. Mike Talley had 13 points and Jodan Price added 10 for the Eagles.

Okoloji had two layups and Lee hit a 3-pointer to spark an 11-0 run that put Eastern Michigan ahead by double digits for good. The Eagles led by 14 at half and pulled away with a 14-0 run to open the second half.

Eastern Michigan outscored Longwood 34-20 in the paint and had 25 points off turnovers.

The Lancers (2-3) held an early lead, but couldn't keep pace, stumbling to shoot 18 of 55 (32.7 percent) and committing 24 turnovers. Lotanna Nwogbo scored 14 points and Ryan Badowski contributed 12 for Longwood.
