Cal State Fullerton holds off San Jose State 70-66

FULLERTON, Calif. (AP) Moses Morgan hit three straight 3-point jumpers to break open a one-point game and Cal State Fullerton was solid at the free throw line down the stretch, defeating San Jose State 70-66 on Saturday.

The 3-pointers came in a 90-second stretch of the second half after San Jose State closed to 38-37. After Morgan's outburst the Titans were up eight. In the closing minutes, San Jose came as close as four points three different times, but Alex Harris and Josh Gentry combined to go nine of 12 at the line in the final two minutes.

Harris led the Titans (1-2) with 20 points, including nine free throws, Morgan finished with 12 as did Gentry, who was also six of six at the free throw line.

Jaleel Williams led the Spartans (1-3) with 16 points. Four other players scored at least 10. The Spartans were called for 23 fouls.
