Texas-Pan American over Texas A&M-Kingsville 82-77

EDINBURG, Texas (AP) Janari Joesaar scored 27 points and grabbed eight rebounds as Texas-Pan American beat Texas A&M-Kingsville 82-77 on Saturday night.

Joesaar did it with 6-of-13 shooting from the field and 12-of-16 shooting from the line. He also hit 3 of 4 from beyond the arc. Shaquille Hines added 16 points and six rebounds for the Broncs (3-0). Shaquille Boga chipped in with 12 points and Shaun Noriega 11. The team hit 52 percent from the field overall, 69 percent from the line and 53 percent from 3-point range.

The Broncs led 41-32 at the break. Don Thomas got the Javelinas within two, 79-77, on a layup with 14 seconds remaining before Joesaar went to the line to hit 3 of 4 to seal the win for the Broncs.

Don Thomas led the Javelinas (2-2) with 15 points. Troy Jones had a team-high 11 rebounds.
