Indiana State rallies past Austin Peay 61-57

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) Jake Kitchell had 11 points and 13 rebounds and Indiana State made its last 11 free throws to hold off Austin Peay 61-57 on Monday night.

Tre' Bennett scored 14 and gave the Sycamores the lead for good at 53-52 on a pair of free throws with 1:24 left. He made two more 33 seconds later, Devonte Brown extended the lead to five, and Justin Gant and Bennett each pushed the lead back to five on consecutive trips to line, the last at 61-56 with 13 seconds left.

Justin Gant added 12 points for Indiana State (3-1) which trailed 48-43 with before going on an 8-0 run capped by Khristian Smith's free throw with 3:18 to play.

Austin Peay (1-4) momentarily regained the lead at 52-51 after Zavion Williams and Ed Dyson scored on back-to-back jumpers.

Dyson led the Governors with 15 points and Chris Horton had 11 rebounds.
