Coastal Carolina defeats Louisiana-Monroe 61-48

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) Josh Cameron hit four 3-pointers and scored 17 points to lead Coastal Carolina to a 61-48 win over Louisiana-Monroe on Wednesday in the Battle 4 Atlantis Mainland Bracket.

The Chanticleers (4-1) play Chattanooga for the title Thursday; the Warhawks (2-2) face Robert Morris.

Shivaughn Wiggins added 11 points and Warren Gillis 10 for Coastal Carolina, which made 8 of 9 free throws in the second half to protect the 33-23 lead it had built in the first half. Cameron had 11 points at the break.

Majok Deng had 14 points and 10 rebounds for Louisiana-Monroe and Justin Roberson added 11 points.

Coastal Carolina was up 37-25 when Gillis made two free throws after a technical foul and hit a jumper on the ensuing possession. Louisiana-Monroe was never able to get the deficit back to single digits the rest of the way.
