Hass' free throws lift Bucknell over UMES 58-55

TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) Chris Hass' three free throws with 5 seconds left lifted Bucknell to a 58-55 victory over Maryland-Eastern Shore on Tuesday at the Progressive Legends Classic.

The Bison (2-4) blew a 15-point halftime lead, and baskets by Mike Myers and Ishaq Pitt gave the Hawks (1-6) a 54-50 advantage with 1:38 left in the game. Hass made a 3-pointer with 33 seconds but Myers hit 1 of 2 free throws to leave UMES up 55-53 with 14 seconds left. Haas was fouled by Myers and he converted all three free throws. D.J. MacLeay added a basket for Bucknell for the final score.

Haas finished with 17 points, J.C. Show added 10 and MacLeay grabbed 10 rebounds.

Iman Johnson scored 12 points and Pitt 10 for the Hawks.

The Bison committed 19 turnovers but had a 35-25 rebounding advantage.
