Mason's 18 points leads Cleveland St past Marshall

HUNTINGTON, W. Va. (AP) Marlin Mason scored 18 and Anton Grady scored 15 of his 17 in the second half to help Cleveland State beat Marshall 68-59 on Friday night.
Trey Lewis added 14 points and seven assists for Cleveland State (3-3), which took a 33-22 lead into halftime despite foul trouble limiting Grady and Lewis - the team's top two scorers - to a combined 15 minutes in the first half.
JP Kambola hit a 3-pointer with 2:28 remaining, pulling Marshall within three, but Mason and Lewis each hit 3-pointers during an ensuing 9-1 run by the Vikings that made it 66-55 with 27 seconds left and sealed the win.
Ryan Taylor scored 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds and Kambola added 15 points for Marshall (3-3), which couldn't overcome its slow start, despite shooting 54.5 percent from the field in the second half.
