Louisville QB Reggie Bonnafon suffers apparent injury against Kentucky

Louisville quarterback Reggie Bonnafon suffered an apparent left-leg injury during the second quarter of Saturday's game against Kentucky. Bonnafon was starting in place of Will Gardner, who will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury. Trainers were reportedly attending to Bonnafon on the sideline before helping him to the locker room.

Louisville quarterback Reggie Bonnafon suffered an apparent left-leg injury during the first half of Saturday's game against Kentucky in Louisville, Ky.

Bonnafon was starting in place of Will Gardner, who will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury. Trainers were reportedly attending to Bonnafon on the sideline before helping him to the locker room.

Redshirt freshman Kyle Bolinreplaced Bonnafon. It was later reported that Bonnafon will not return to the game.

Bonnafon has passed for 842 yards and five touchdowns with two interceptions while adding 173 yards and five scores on the ground. He was named the ACC Rookie of the Week after accounting for three touchdowns in last week's win at Notre Dame.

The Cardinals are 8-3 (5-3 ACC) this season.
