East Tennessee State tops Morehead State 63-59

MOREHEAD, Ky. (AP) Jalen Riley had 20 points and East Tennessee State held off Morehead State 63-59 on Monday.

ETSU's Lester Wilson nailed a 3-pointer with 2:15 left in the game to tie it at 52. Another trey by Wilson with 40 seconds left gave the Buccaneers a 5-point lead at 59-54 and the Bucs made 4 of 6 free throws inside of 16 seconds to ice it.

Wilson finished with 18 points and was 5 of 7 beyond the arc.

Morehead State was led by Angelo Warner's 13 points, while Lyonell Gaines and Corban Collins both added 12 points. The Eagles made just 6 of 21 3-point attempts and 13 of 18 free throws.

Both teams struggled through a close, low-scoring first half that saw East Tennessee up 22-21 at the break. Neither squad shot better than 38 percent from the floor for the game.
